Genomics has brought significant transformations in healthcare services worldwide with implications for clinical practice and healthcare organisations, policies, and training (Dragojlovic et al. 2020). Overall, genomics has ushered in a new era of healthcare that is more precise, individualised, and data-driven. Still, it raises important ethical, policy, and organisational challenges that need specific attention. Table 1 summarises some of the main developments and trends (Roberts and Middleton 2017; Stoll et al. 2018) in the provision of healthcare in genetics services.
